Mamma changed the words to "Karma Chameleon". The words in blue are what Mamma's been singing!!
Desert loving in your eyes all the way
Tired every night and every day
If I listen to your lies would you say
My hips and thighs are always in the way
I’m a man without conviction
I’m a mom with constipation
I’m a man who doesn’t know
I’m a mom, I move real slow
How to sell a contradiction
Now I sit in contemplation
You come and go
This nausea blows
You come and go
This nausea blows
Karma karma karma karma karma chameleon
I’m a, I’m a, I’m a, as big as a pavilion
You come and go
This nausea blows
You come and go
This nausea blows
Loving would be easy if your colors were like my dream
Driving makes me queasy and my bladder lets out a stream
Red, gold and green
I’m cold and mean
Red, gold and green
I’m cold and mean
Didn’t hear your wicked words every day
Don’t want to get up so early every day
And you used to be so sweet I heard you say
Then wish that when I rise I wouldn’t sway
That my love was an addiction
This is hard is my opinion
When we cling our love is strong
When I stand, I can’t for long
When you go you’re gone forever
When I eat there's never flavor
You string along
Pee all night long
You string along
Pee all night long
Every day is like a survival
By the way, where’s my navel?
You’re my lover not my rival
I’m your Mamma, not your rival
Every day is like a survival
Every way I sit and marvel
You’re my lover not my rival
I’m your Mamma, not your rival
I’m a man without conviction
I’m a mom, in contemplation
I’m a man who doesn’t know
I’m a mom, who doesn’t know
How to sell a contradiction
How to survive a contraction
You come and go
This nausea blows
You come and go
This nausea blows

Nice and Easy Nineteen
Hi all! I’m nineteen weeks old today and I weigh in at just about 8 ounces and am about 6 inches head to rump. If you count my legs, I’m almost 10 inches long! My toes have not developed as much as my hands have though—remember I told you I got my fingerprints the week before this? My toes are nowhere near close to that--I guess I'm a work in progress:) I’m still a cute little dude/dudette though.
Oh, take a bite out of this-- newly in are the first buds that are to become my baby teeth. Also new this week: a few hairs are sprouting on my head! Hopefully, I'll look like I'm all set for a L'Oreal commercial soon (because I'm worth it). Since it’s rather boring in here, that’s a major event for me.
If I am a girl, which I won’t say yet if I am or not, I would have 6 million eggs in my ovaries! Of course that will dwindle to only about 1 million when I’m born. Again, that is if I am a girl. I know what I am, but I have to wait till Mamma and Daddy find out to tell you. Sensitive so and so’s will be all upset if I told you before them.
My brain is starting to compartmentalize specific areas for my senses (sight, sound, smell, touch and taste). With the genes I’m getting from my parents, I’ll have to have an extra special area assigned only for common sense! Ha ha ha, I love making fun of my old folks. Don’t get me wrong, they are lovable and stuff, but teasing them is so much fun—remember, I am bored in here.
In other parental news, Mamma is starting to wise up finally! For a long time she couldn’t tell the difference between me moving and gas. I gave her three big thumps on her belly this morning and she finally got the message that it’s been me all along and not gas. That made her day.
On Saturday, Daddy and Mamma spent time fixing up my nursery and Mamma even started drawing and painting little animal scenes to hang on my walls. She is thinking of framing them if they come out ok. Daddy is still longing to feel me move, no luck yet. I try really hard sometimes, but hopefully in a few weeks, if not sooner he’ll feel me.
I’m going to perch up on my newly found favorite place--Mamma’s bladder. I find it really comfy. Mamma, on the other hand, doesn’t, since she has to run to the bathroom every time I do that. It gives Daddy a good laugh though:) Time for me to snuggle up. Please leave comments for me and I’ll talk to you soon!! 6

Enthralling Eighteen
I’m eighteen weeks old right now and have many exciting developments to report. Mamma is slightly more cooperative this week so I get to blog today. Right now I am about 5.6 inches long from head to rump. You know something cool? My skin is still kind of transparent, and if you could see me, you would see the veins under my skin. There is a protective covering called myelin forming on my nerves. It will keep growing for a year after I am born! That’s kind of neat—I wish I could marvel at it, but my eyes are still fused shut.
My ears are getting more and more with it though. Mamma and Daddy went to a fashion show a few days ago with their friends from Thailand and I enjoyed the music every much. I have been practicing making noises since my vocal chords are formed. I am curious to see if I can sing like Daddy or if I’m totally out of tune like Mamma. No sound comes out though since there is no air in here. I’ll just keep practicing my very first wail though. Would be fun to scare my parents with it:)
Other developments include alveoli, tiny air sacs in my lungs, and my digestive system is starting to produce meconium. Meconium is poop! Yep. My first poop is forming, but not to worry, I won’t pass it out till I am born. I can’t wait to see Daddy’s face when he sees it—he might pass out! Those things make him squeamish.
Other than that, I have been spending my time making faces, trying to jump around, and tugging at the umbilical chord, trying to get my parents’ attention. They are both waiting to feel me moving. I have been trying to give Mamma signals, but she is never sure if it is me or gas! I guess she will just have to get used to it and figure it out for herself. Two nights ago, I did a major dance when I heard Daddy’s voice and felt his hand on Mamma’s stomach, but they are still not sure. A rather dense couple I tell you!
I have not been asking Mamma for anything in particular food wise. The only weird thing was that I made her eat a fish curry, which she normally doesn’t eat since as we all know, she can’t stand fish. She ate a little of it but then I got bored of it.
Mamma is still tired and sometimes gets dizzy if she springs out of bed, but she is less worried about it now that she has researched that it’s part and parcel of having me in her belly. She dutifully went for her tetanus shot two days ago (as usual after much research about the impact of the vaccine on me) and her arm is paining today. Oh, and Mamma’s stomach is finally sticking out a bit.
Ok, I feel a yawn coming on. Time for me to cuddle up, suck my thumb and take a nap. Listening to the sound of my Mamma’s heartbeat kind of makes me sleepy, and I need my rest to do some jumping jacks when I hear Daddy’s voice later today. I’ll catch up with you next week! Ps Please don’t forget to leave your comments, and as promised, I want to give a big shout out ot Uncle Ray! 6

Slightly Scary Seventeen
I am seventeen weeks old today! I have been trying to get Mamma to type for me but she has been an absolute drag because she is still feeling very tired. She has also become quite bossy with me! Mamma dared to lay down some rules for cute little old me—no oily food and no food with preservatives.
I have been invading her thoughts and pestering her to get me some Chinese food since Monday. She absolutely refused all week, valiantly fighting her cravings, but she finally gave in last night. She should at least be glad that I stopped asking her for coffee ice cream. But no, she gives me lectures about ‘healthy food’ (not that she is that into it, so what’s she talking about?).
In other news, loud noises are starting to bother me since I can hear better than before. Fortunately, Mamma hasn’t sung in the shower lately because she talks to me instead of singing. Every night Daddy says things in endearing tones to me and rubs Mamma’s belly. I like that lots. It’s kind of comforting. Whenever he does that I stop doing my aqua-aerobics and curl up for a nap.
Oh, I am getting in some layers of fat this week. I know that sounds horrific to you adults, for but it’s good for me. Before, I was mostly made up of water! There is something else that started forming on my skin. Mamma read that it was called vernix and it is protecting me from the constant exposure to amniotic fluid.
One more exciting thing happened--my fingerprints formed this week. How cool is that? I am becoming more unique by the day! I am kind of special and wonderful, aren’t I? I better be a good baby from now on! Also, my cartilage is starting to turn into bone. I was all soft and squidgy before! Hopefully this means I’ll be more sturdy from now on, but I’m sure I’ll always be cuddly and cute to my Mamma and Daddy!
As you can see, there are many exciting things happening to me this week. Mamma is not having as much of a fun time. The increase in her blood flow is something she still needs to get used to. She went to a cocktail party for work on Friday night, which luckily Daddy was invited to. It was outside and there were no chairs around.
Due to the heat and constant standing she fainted! Don’t worry, she warned Daddy that she was about to pass out so that he could hold her up. She was so worried I would get hurt if she fell on the ground, but I was safe and sound. Mamma was also unharmed, fear not. Daddy could hold her up for the most part but she slunk down on one leg (she herself admits she's no light weight after all). Her right knee and ankle were hurting for a day and she broke a toe nail, but she came out of it more embarrassed than anything else.
I am going to marvel at the new fatty tissue I’m getting in and I feel like doing a couple of somersaults. Mamma should feel them soon, although she hasn’t yet. It will be so much fun to feel my parents reaction when they finally feel me jumping around! I’ll catch up with you soon. Lots of love, Baby BB (please comment below—I love hearing from you). 6

Sweet Sixteen
I was so happy with your enthusiastic support of my blog that I just couldn’t wait to give you more updates. Well, that and if I don’t blog, all that’s left to do is swim in amniotic fluid all day. My host (that’s what I call Mamma when I am not pleased with her), on the other hand, has been shying away from her duty to me (typing) because she has been feeling really nauseous and tired all week.
In fairness, I am partly to blame for that, but I am excused because I’m just so darn cute. Mamma has a hard time getting comfortable enough to fall asleep at night, no matter how tired she is. She read several articles saying that it is better for me if she slept on her side (something about blood flow—I’d explain it to you, but I’m just a fetus).
Aunty Manji sent her a pregnancy pillow but Mamma keeps falling on her back, making her worry about me. So in the morning, we both are very sleepy and the last thing on our mind is food—which is bad. She needs to eat right away to prevent the nausea from setting in, but she tends to want to eat whatever I feel like eating.
What do I want to eat? Ramen noodles, french fries, and coffee ice cream together (hey, don’t knock it till you try it). Mamma keeps telling me those are not healthy things. She put her foot down on the noodles and ice cream since apparently she thinks the noodles will have too many preservatives and she doesn’t want to give me coffee. So we settled on a small portion of fries (I’m sure she didn’t mind that much) and a vanilla ice cream cone instead. Daddy, if he knows what's good for him, will take us to a Japanese restaurant tomorrow to have fresh ramen noodles.
In other news, my finger and toe nails are growing!! I can’t really see how my nails are growing since my eyes are still fused shut. However, I can sense light, but I am not a big fan of it since I’m used to the darkness of the womb. Thank goodness (for many reasons) Mamma is a prude and keeps her belly covered at all times!!
Guess what? My heart is circulating 25 quarts of blood right now and my urinary system is working. Poor me, I have to pee into my amniotic sac every 40-45 minutes or so. Mamma is rather relieved (no pun intended) that she doesn’t have to run to the loo quite as often as she used to since she is terrified of public bathrooms.
Mamma is also producing more blood to support me, which leaves her nose stuffed up most of the day. Sometimes nowadays her heart beats really fast and that freaks her out. I find that annoying because it gets quite loud in here for me. Mamma also noticed the veins under her feet are looking rather prominent. She thinks that’s really neat (she is special that way, isn’t she?).
Daddy is still hoping to feel me moving. He should be careful what he wishes for!! I am only 4 ½ inches long right now, but hopefully, I’ll grow fast and I can really give him a good kick soon:) I’m practicing all sorts of moves to use on him—I am constantly somersaulting and bouncing around in this jungle gym that is my Mamma’s belly. He thinks I’m wonderful and calls me darling all the time. I am sure I’ll have full control of the old man when I come out.
I think I am going to take a nap. It’s really quite comfy in here. I’ll talk to you again next week providing Mamma is in a good mood. Oh, and please make some comments if you like--Mamma wants to save all this in a book she is planning to make for me so that I can get to know all you sweeties that are rooting for me. Hi You All
Hi!! I have been enjoying writing e-mails to my Aunty Manji and so I decided that I would start my own blog to let all my Mamma and Daddy's favorite people read my writings from the womb!!
It is kind of dark and boring in here. Mamma is rather cranky thanks to the hormones I am sharing with her. But she is never cranky with me--the benefits of being a fetus:) Daddy is always trying to talk to her belly, but I just turned 15 weeks old and it's only now that I started hearing sounds. I can't make sense of them yet since my ears are just developing.
In other news, I got my taste buds this week!! Yippee:) So I've been getting Mamma to have thin crust cheese pizzas. I just love the tomato sauce that comes under the gooey cheese.
I know if I am a boy or a girl, but I haven't let Mamma and Daddy know yet. Daddy doesn't have a preference, he is just waiting to see me!! Mamma wanted a girl at first, but now she is happy either way. After she saw my gorgeous self in their scan and I waved at them, I had her wrapped around my little finger!! Incidentally, I can suck my thumb now if I want to--but I won't tell you if I do!!
Alright, it's nap time. Mamma is being quiet while I'm making her type, so it's a good time for me to sleep. Soon she'll be singing in the shower--my poor newly formed ears!! At least Daddy can sing:)
I'll catch up with you all soon!!
P.S. This info was previously on another site. Thus, Mamma is going to cut and paste the sweet comments about my blog made by my wonderful Aunties and Uncles below:
Aunty Shal: You just make sure you keep your mom and dad in check ok!?! Looking forward to seeing you at Easter (and the parents of course!). Kissesxx Feb 20, 2007, 01:26 PM (UTC 5)
Aun: Love it. Write more soon. Feb 20, 2007, 12:46 PM (UTC 5)
Terra: This is a great idea! Since I'm not there to watch your belly grow this is certainly the next best thing. Feb 20, 2007, 03:10 AM (UTC 5)
Yee: I love this. Both my babies craved everything with tomatoes also when they were in my belly. Can't wait to hear more. Feb 19, 2007, 07:21 PM (UTC 5)
Colleena: Aw, I just love that! Keep them coming! With Love, Colleena Feb 19, 2007, 06:37 PM (UTC 5)
Aunty Gauri: Hey little darling, you should visit us in Rome to get the real 'authentic' Italian Pizza! ;-) So, you let out a nice little secret: Mommy can't sing but daddy can.. Hmmm. Keep us posted on the happenings in there!! Feb 19, 2007, 04:05 PM (UTC 5)

How a Fetus Started Blogging
I am not set to make my debut into this world till August, but I am blogging. How did that happen? Well, as my 'eloquent' Mamma says, she feels like 'one of those transformer thingys from the Japanese cartoons'. She said she feels like she is the giant robot and I am the tiny human that jumped in and started messing with the controls. The old girl's not far from wrong.
I have been messing with her feelings, cravings, and movements (of all kinds, I'll spare you the details). I find my Aunty Manji rather amusing, so I thought I'd start chatting with her. My cousin Millie sends me psychic messages all the time, and she is absolutely sweet to me. She named me BB for now (hence the titles of the blogs). Aunty Manji is full of me already and has got all this stuff ready for my arrival.
I started out by sending her a 'thank you' e-card--what better place than the womb to begin practicing proper manners? She sent a Hallmark worthy response to it and then I sent her an e-mail. Then I got to thinking, I'm sitting here, wrapped in placenta, doing nothing. Mamma is doing nothing because she is so nauseous. So why not use my brains and her hands to do some blogging?
Aunty Manji and Mamma can't find the first funny e-card I sent, but here is a copy of the e-mail I sent Aunty Manji around Valentines Day 2007:
Darling Aunty Manji,
Thanks for the ecard. That was very sweet. I will try not to pee on your lap. But it will be great fun to pee on my daddy, wouldn't it? He keeps talking to Mamma's stomach and hoping that I'll kick his hand, but I am still a bit too little for them to notice my kicking. Mamma is eating. I am making her hungry because my taste buds kicked in this week and I want a taste of everything!! I also started to hear noises, but they are not clear. Maybe in a few weeks, you can tell my mamma to hold the phone to her belly so that I can hear your voice!! Wouldn't that be great?
How are my cousins doing? My mamma loves them alot, and she is always sending me good feelings about them so I can't wait to see them. She is very sad that she can't see them, but I am happy that they will be here when I am born. Say 'hi' to Uncle Bogleagamma.

ps if you really like, I can be naughty and make my mamma have a C-section, that way you can time your flights. But that would be a little mean though, wouldn't it?
Say 'hi' to Uncle Bogleagamma.
love,
BB
